Occupying a superb position amidst ninety acres of private parkland close to the village of Bunloit in the Highlands of Scotland is the holiday accommodations of Ancarraig Lodges.

This is the perfect place to forget about the hustle and bustle of everyday life and relax and enjoy the superb scenery. The lodges are set in the hills high above Loch Ness and are on the Great Glen Way so make an ideal base for walkers and mountain bikers to base themselves. The Scandinavian style lodges can sleep four people in two bedrooms, one double and one twin room.

Each lodge has an open plan living area with comfortable sofas and colour television with satellite reception. There is a dining table seating four people adjacent to the well equipped kitchen area. Outside each lodge is a covered verandah complete with outdoor furniture, the ideal spot to relax with a drink and take in the magnificent views. Pets are allowed in some of our lodges and well behaved dogs will enjoy taking walks in the surrounding woodland.

Loch Ness is close by and offers the chance to take a boat ride or enjoy a spot of fishing. If you keep your eyes peeled you may catch a glimpse of Nessie herself. This is a great place for bird watchers as you can spot eagles, buzzards, black grouse and heron in the area and an abundance of wildlife including deer, red squirrels, hares and pine martens so remember to bring your camera. Horse riding is available in the area or why not take a walk up the nearby hills and enjoy the superb views over Loch Ness and on a clear day the summit of Ben Nevis can be seen. The city of Inverness with its castle is a great day trip destination.
