Details for Visit Cape Wrath

Most people have heard of Land's End, John O Groats to Land's End but not so many have heard about Cape Wrath which is Scotland's most north westerly point and well worth a visit.

To visit this wonderful place you need to take the Cape Wrath Mini Bus service which will meet you from the ferry at Keoldale Jetty, it is the only way you can get here and you will be provided with lots of information re the area and places of interest.

The views are just magnificent and even the locals never get tired of this view with its beautiful white lighthouse, Cape Wrath Lighthouse which was constructed way back in 1828 and much of the stone was hand dressed, there are eighty one steps up to the top of the lighthouse. It is also an area of Special Scientific Interest due to the variety of wild life, razor bills, breeding birds, fulmars, kittiwakes to name but a few, so if you are a bit of a twitcher, this is definitely a place you need to put on your "To Do" list.

Generally this is a place where you could come and just enjoy the stillness, the peace and quiet, so make sure you do not come on the days when our brave army lads are there, the terrain and weather conditions make this a great place for them to train.

And if all this fresh air has made you hungry and thirsty the Ozone café is open every day of the year, all day long to serve you hot and cold food.
Cape Wrath, it's the place to be.
